Four Districts Woodland Group 2022 AGM

The Four Districts Woodland Group held their 2022 AGM on Thursday 31st March, 2022. The event was well attended and was a welcomed opportunity to interact in person with supporters and councillors. Members of Rathcoole Community Council, Friends of the Camac, and Clondalkin Area Committee; Francis Timmons (Independent), Shirley O’Hara (Fine Gael) and William Joseph Carey (Sinn Fein) were in attendance. All Clondalkin Area Committee Councillors were invited with apologies from Trevor Gilligan, Peter Kavanagh and Eoin O’Broin who were otherwise engaged. Neville Graver provided our Treasurer’s Report. We have funded 2 reports and are involved in a judicial review. We have money in the bank but to get good expert advice and fund reports, we need more. Annie Flynn thanked a considerable list of people who have provided assistance to the group from expert advice to clean ups. Deirdre Tierney provided the Chairs Report and What Next. The meeting was nicely ended with a beautifully shot and edited short information video produced by committee member, Sally Ryan Graver.

Election of Officers
The following members were re-elected:
Deirdre Tierney – chair
Neville Graver – Treasurer
The position of secretary is vacant. This position is currently covered by Deirdre Tierney. If you are interested in this position, please contact the groups. Also, if you have time to spare or wish to support us in any way, please do get in touch. It is surprising how one hour on one occasion is of immense help to the committee.
Our other 6 committee members, thankfully, are remaining to serve another year and a new member joined during the year.
Raffle
There was an absolutely fabulous response to our raffle. We raised close to €2000. We were so impressed by the response that 2 members sought additional prizes and successfully got two.
Congratulations to Celine Malone of Rathcoole Park who won the cake and to our other raffle winners.
The running of a raffle and an AGM is no mean feat and there were many involved.
